For me, the founder of this site, the simple times seem to stand out as the most memorable ... a horseback ride through a sun-drenched forest after a fresh early morning rain; the icy embrace of the river as our raft is challenged by a backwashing whitewater rapid; the smell of morning coffee a brew on the campfire; the exhilaration of a 50-mile bike ride through a desert on an early spring morning; making first ski tracks after a powdery snowstorm; hearing our canoe paddle break the silence of the glassy waters as we glide across a wilderness lake; or laying under the stars listening to the crickets singing their special lullabies as the crackle of the campfire plays backup. - Tim Gordon
